The Opportunity
Our client - agribusiness and food industry holding AB Akola Group, is looking for a Senior Accountant.
AB Akola Group is a leader in the Baltic food industry, operating along the entire food production chain from field to fork. Listed on Nasdaq Vilnius since 2010, they have a strong track record of growth and transparency in daily operations. They employ nearly 5,000 people and generate annual revenue of almost EUR 1.5 billion. Their diverse operations include producing, processing, and marketing agricultural and food products, as well as providing goods and services to farmers.
In this role You will:
Work closely with an external accounting service provider that handles primary accounting documents, while overseeing the accuracy of accounting records and ensuring smooth financial processes;
Prepare and ensure the accuracy of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards;
Prepare and submit financial and tax reports, declarations to state authorities;
Calculate payroll;
Manage bank transactions;
Contribute to improving and automating accounting and financial processes, including supporting the transition from MS Dynamics Axapta to Microsoft Dynamics 365;
Provide information to the Group's finance team;
Perform other tasks assigned by the Financial Controller (e.g., assisting in preparing and comparing actual and budget data, supporting the process of preparing the Group's pricing documentation).
We expect You to:
Hold a higher education degree in accounting;
Have 3+ years of experience in accounting;
Have a strong understanding of VAS accounting standards (knowledge of IFRS accounting standards is an advantage);
Understand VAT calculation for mixed activities;
Demonstrate precision, responsibility, initiative, and openness to innovation;
Experience with MS Dynamics Axapta, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/ or Bonus is an advantage.
