Job Overview
Hello! We are Volotea, the airline of small and mid-sized cities in Europe.
As a Maintenance Cost Controller, you’ll ensure Volotea’s fleet operates safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.
You’ll work closely with Engineering, Operations, and Finance, tracking costs, analyzing spend, and providing actionable insights that protect both operational performance and the airline’s bottom line.
This role is ideal for someone with aviation or airline experience who wants to own maintenance cost monitoring, contribute to operational efficiency, and grow their expertise in fleet economics.

How will it be to work with us?
Monitor and analyze maintenance expenditures, identifying trends, deviations, and opportunities for savings.
Track budget vs. actuals and support operational and financial decision-making with accurate insights.
Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance teams to validate work orders, supplier invoices, and contracts.
Provide reports and dashboards that translate complex maintenance data into actionable insights.
Contribute to fleet initiatives and CAPEX projects, supporting cost efficiency and operational improvements.
Recommend ways to optimize processes, supplier agreements, and resource allocation, maximizing value in a low-cost environment.
Communicate findings clearly to Finance, Operations, and Maintenance stakeholders, ensuring alignment across the airline.

What will make you succeed in this position:
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
Previous experience in aviation or airline finance, fleet economics, or operational cost control.
Strong analytical and numerical skills, able to work with large datasets and identify actionable insights
Proficient in Excel; experience with ERP, Power BI, or SQL is a plus
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
Fluent in English; Spanish and/or French is a plus
Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to drive cost optimization and operational efficiency
