Job Title: GoHighLevel (GHL) Developer
Location: Remote (Perm WFH)
Type: Independent Contractor
Schedule: Night Shift | Monday–Friday (Pacific Time)


Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled GoHighLevel (GHL) Developer to manage, optimize, and document automation workflows, account structures, and integrations. This role ensures reliable system performance, scalability, and seamless deployment of marketing and CRM automation solutions. The ideal candidate thrives in a remote, independent setting, with strong problem-solving, technical, and documentation skills.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Automation Documentation and Change Tracking

  • Duty: Document workflows, integrations, logic paths, and configuration changes.

  • Purpose: Ensures maintainability, transparency, and continuity across teams.

2. Account and Sub-Account Management

  • Duty: Manage GHL account structures, permissions, snapshots, and templates.

  • Purpose: Supports scalable deployment and consistent system standards.

3. Testing, QA, and Deployment Support

  • Duty: Perform testing of workflows, funnels, integrations, and updates prior to launch.

  • Purpose: Reduces errors, downtime, and negative customer impact, supporting stable and high-quality system delivery.


Must-Have Skills & Expertise:

GoHighLevel Platform Expertise

  • Design, deploy, and optimize advanced automation solutions within GHL.

  • Deep proficiency in workflows, triggers, pipelines, campaigns, funnels, forms, calendars, and sub-account architecture.

Automation Logic & Systems Thinking

  • Build scalable, reliable, and maintainable automation systems.

  • Strong understanding of conditional logic, event-driven workflows, error handling, and lifecycle automation.

API & Integration Development

  • Connect GHL with external systems and data sources.

  • Experience with APIs, webhooks, Zapier/Make, JSON payloads, and third-party integrations.

Problem-Solving & Optimization Skills

  • Identify bottlenecks, failures, and inefficiencies within automation systems.

  • Troubleshoot complex workflows, debug integrations, and optimize performance.

Communication & Documentation

  • Align technical solutions with business needs.

  • Clear written and verbal communication, technical documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.


Nice-to-Have Skills (Optional):

  • Advanced knowledge of CRM/marketing automation best practices

  • Experience with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization

  • Familiarity with project management tools (Asana, ClickUp, Trello)

  • Basic HTML/CSS or frontend customization for funnels/forms
