Anew Behavioral Health, LLC, seeks an exceptional Director of Nursing to join our integrated team of Outpatient Behavioral Health and SUD administrative professionals. This is an exciting opportunity to direct the nursing services component of Medical Services, currently in Ohio and New Hampshire, with upcoming expansion to multiple neighboring states.
Summary:
The Director of Nursing has a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. Leadership skills and experience in nursing administration will be essential in managing the nursing department effectively. You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Expertise in Medicare regulations and documentation will be ongoing as it is vital in maintaining accurate records.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide professional leadership, guidance, education and support to the Medical Services Nursing staff and other Anew nursing services.
- Hire, onboard and train new nursing staff in collaboration with Medical Director and Director of Medical Services.
- Oversee the daily operations of the nursing services department including assignments, caseloads, coverage, etc.
- Establish and maintain competency testing for new and current nurses.
- Develop nursing training complementary to all medical services, informed by the Medical Director and prescriber team.
- Develop and implement state-specific policies and reinforce current standardized processes to ensure quality client care.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies.
- Maintain ongoing collaboration with Medical Director and Director of Medical Services to ensure departmental integration with other service lines.
- Serve as a client advocate and maintain a process-centered focus
- Other duties as assigned
Supervision Given:
The Director of Nursing will supervise all RN’s and LPN’s.
Supervision Received:
The Director of Nursing reports to the Director of Medical Services.
Qualifications:
· Strong background in healthcare regulations and compliance
· Willingness to work in an integrated service environment, proven ability to lead and manage large teams appropriately and effectively
· Excellent professional communication style and interpersonal skills
· Ability to develop and implement staff training and competency programs
· Proven track record of improving client engagement and improved outcomes
· Ability to effectively manage budgets and resources.
Education:
Master’s degree in nursing or nursing administration
Certification:
Advanced certification in Nursing Administration, preferred, or obtain advanced certification within 1 year of hire.
Experience:
· 3+ years of experience in a leadership role in a healthcare setting
· Previous experience in a leadership role within an outpatient behavioral healthcare setting, preferred, or other outpatient health care setting.
Physical Effort:
Requires sitting for extended periods and occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
Background:
Must pass all Federal and State background checks according to company policy.
