The CIO will be responsible for ensuring the business of the bank is facilitated using technology for the delivery of superior customer service in line with corporate objectives and goals. Maximize the banks competitive advantage with strict adherence to laid down policies and procedures and conform with regulatory guidelines.
The role involves ensuring continuous improvement of operations through advanced technologies, developing capacity in people, skills, and knowledge, planning and implementing technology projects and strategies. Budgeting for technology needs, coordinating development of applications, maintaining contingency and disaster recovery plans, managing vendor services, designing technology architecture, and safeguarding organizational information assets.
The successful incumbent will also be responsible for monitoring level of IT awareness and regular delivery of effective IT training for IT users and business users and champions the annual development/ review of Business Requirement Analysis, IT Strategic Planning, IT Technology Architecture Planning, IT Process Review and Development, Capacity Planning, Risk Mitigation Planning, High Availability Planning, and Disaster Recovery Planning and safeguarding the organizations information assets, by keeping abreast of new threats such as service attacks and spamming.
Requirements
The candidate must have at least 10 years of working experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior technical role with managerial experience and project management skills.
Candidates must possess a University Degree in either Computer Science or Business Studies. Additionally, they should hold an advanced degree or professional qualifications, indicating a higher level of expertise and specialization in their field.
