Role Overview:
As the Marketplace Account Manager, you will play a key role in driving product success in retail and marketplace channels. If you are passionate about retail and marketplace account management and have a track record of success, we would love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to increase sales, profitability, and market share on marketplaces including Walmart.com, Costco.com, Lowes.com, Menards.com, and Target+
- Collaborate with internal teams to align inventory, marketing, and sales strategy for the platform
2. Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure seamless end-to-end management of our 3P listings
- Work closely with the supply chain and logistics team to ensure timely product availability and fulfillment
- Address and resolve any issues related to listings, order management, and/or customer feedback promptly
3. Marketing & Merchandising:
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to create and optimize product listings, including but not limited to: high-quality images, product descriptions, and SEO-friendly content
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics to optimize promotions, advertising campaigns, and sponsored product placement on Walmart.com
4. Relationship Management:
- Foster strong relationships with the marketplace team to stay up to date on platform changes, promotional opportunities, and best practices
- Address any issues, concerns, or disputes with Walmart.com promptly and professionally
5. Performance Analytics:
- Regularly review and analyze sales, traffic, and conversion data to understand performance and identify areas of improvement
- Provide routine reports to senior management with insights and recommendations
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in retail and marketplace account management
- Strong understanding of marketplaces (exclusive experience on the Amazon platform is acceptable), with experience driving sales growth and improving performance in both channels
- Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively manage partnerships with key retail and marketplace partners
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to measure and report on channel performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- A self-starter who is highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders
- Passion for start-ups, e-commerce, and rapid growth is a must.
