Job Overview

SUMMARY

Keeps building in clean and orderly condition following company quality standards. May be assigned to other departments as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED.

·       Removes trash/scrap from each designated area and compact or recycles it.

·       Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums assigned areas.

·       Cleans, restocks and inspects restrooms.

·       Cleans snow and debris from sidewalk and surrounding grounds.

·       Wipes down surfaces and cleans windows.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School education or equivalent; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

A valid drivers license to operate hoisting equipment.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

·       Removes trash / scrap from each designated area and compacts or recycles it.

·       Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums assigned areas.

·       Disinfect common areas.

·       Cleans and inspects all restrooms.

·       Cleans and inspects the lunchroom.

·       Cleans seasonal debris and snow from all sidewalks and surrounding grounds throughout the year.

·       Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral,

or diagram form. 

·       Physical: Frequently required to climb stairs, climb step ladders, frequent standing, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  Regularly lifts and / or moves up to 25 pounds. Frequently lifts and / or moves up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

·       Perform other duties as assigned.

IMPORTANT:

All candidates must pass a pre-employment 5-panel urine drug screen to be considered for employment.

COMPENSATION:

Range: $16.65 - $17.85 per hour, paid on a weekly basis.

Hourly wage determined and based on qualifications and level of experience.
