We are a specialty trade-only printer that is capable of offset and digital printing, foil stamping and embossing, UV coating, plastic film lamination, die-cutting, folding and gluing, as well as hand assembly and shipping, all at one location in Macomb, Michigan.
SUMMARY
We are searching for a reliable, punctual, highly-motivated and adaptable individual to perform a full-time, on-site role as Preorder/Prelaunch Technician. You will work directly with our Inside Sales Team to gather all elements of incoming orders; start orders in JDE and input information; generate paperwork and route orders appropriately through our workflow.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Start order in JDE with essential order details (i.e.: pre-order-entry function aka: Prelaunch)
- Receive email; read supplied information; match order/purchase order; download digital art
- Utilize internal pricing program and company product database
- Review customer account information
- Pull related historical data file, estimate/quote
- Print paperwork required and route to next area
- Perform general clerical duties
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
- Proficient computer and typing skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of the following software: Outlook, Excel, Acrobat; JDE
- Utilize multiple monitors while working in variety of applications; moving documents; reading and understanding provided information
- Knowledge of basic order production and workflow
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret and write email and order correspondence.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic arithmetic to calculate totals and amounts such as percentage discounts; calculate square area.
- Ability to speak clearly with customers on the phone
- Graphic Arts knowledge and/or previous experience preferred
Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma
One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to use hands/fingers for typing; organizing paperwork; filing; handling order materials.
Ability to use close vision for viewing computer screen, reading on screen and printed documents.
Occasionally, may need to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
General office noise level; voices and office machines and phones in use.
Climate-controlled facility.
COMPENSATION
Range: $16.00 - $22.97 hourly rate
Paid on a weekly basis
Wage determined on level of experience and qualifications
