Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Network Security Engineering
- Design, implement, and manage secure network infrastructures using Cisco security products.
- Configure and maintain Cisco ASA, Firepower/FMC, ISE, and other Cisco security appliances.
- Implement advanced security policies including ACLs, IPS/IDS, NGFW rules, and content filtering.
- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk analysis.
Routing & Switching
- Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize Cisco routers and switches across multi-site enterprise networks.
- Implement routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and ensure secure communication paths.
- Optimize network performance, redundancy, and failover mechanisms.
VPN & Secure Connectivity
- Manage and support secure remote access solutions (Site-to-Site VPN, AnyConnect VPN, SSL/IPsec).
- Ensure secure connectivity for internal users, remote teams, and external partners.
- Monitor and maintain VPN performance and security compliance.
Identity & Access Control
- Configure and manage Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for network access control (NAC).
- Implement 802.1X, posture assessment, device profiling, and role-based access control.
- Enforce Zero Trust and secure authentication frameworks.
Security Monitoring & Incident Response
- Monitor security logs, SIEM alerts, and network traffic for anomalies.
- Lead incident response efforts, root cause analysis, and mitigation plans.
- Maintain documentation of security incidents and system changes.
Qualifications & Certifications
- Cisco CCNP Security Certification – Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Additional certifications (CCNA Security, CEH, Palo Alto PCNSE) are a plus
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Cisco ASA, Cisco Firepower, FMC, ISE, and Cisco Umbrella
- Proficiency in LAN/WAN design, routing, switching, and network troubleshooting
- Experience with security protocols (IPsec, SSL, TACACS+, RADIUS, SNMPv3)
- Familiarity with firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto), IDS/IPS systems
- Knowledge of network segmentation, VLANs, and secure architectures
- Experience with packet analysis tools (Wireshark, tcpdump)
- Scripting experience (Python, Bash) is a plus
