AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Aviation Civil Engineering team in Tampa, Florida.
This position is expected to begin as soon as possible.
In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of airport infrastructure through the planning, design, and delivery of complex airfield and landside improvement projects. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of aviation professionals who are passionate about creating innovative, resilient, and sustainable solutions for airports of all sizes—including major commercial hubs and military installations.
You will play a vital role in the development of airfield and landside planning and design for airport improvement projects. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for developing civil airfield, design, and construction improvements working under experienced design staff.
- Preparation of the following: design plans, construction estimates, technical specifications, engineer's reports, meeting agendas/minutes, and other various tasks related to supporting our client's needs.
- Regular contact with clients, design team members, contractors, and sub-consultants for ongoing planning, design, and construction projects.
- Participation in project meetings with internal team and clients.
- Interaction with all project stakeholders (including federal and state agencies).
- Development and/or review of project documents and general support of project team/tasks.
- Support project managers with design documentation and construction-related services.
- Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
- Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
- Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
