Resident Works Supervisor (Building)

Work Location : HKUST, Clear Water Bay, Hong Kong

Contract Period: up to August 2028 subject to review

Working:  5.5 days per week

Duties:  The duties of the Resident Works Supervisor (Building) shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

• Responsible on site to the Contract Administrator / Project Architect / Project Civil – Structural Engineer / Resident Engineer
• Provide day-to day supervision of workmanship and progress;
• Assist in the supervision of contract works including routine inspections, material checks, checking of setting out and leveling by contractors;
• Assist in the supervision of mixing, placing and curing of concrete;
• Assist in the supervision of the making of concrete cubes and the cutting of steel bars by the contractors for subsequent testing.
• Monitor site resources and daily activities.
• Assist in the recording of labour, materials and plant delivered to site for compilation of site records;
• Escort the delivery of concrete cubes and other building materials to laboratories for testing as instructed;
• Keep approval samples in lockable storage and check against the materials delivered to site;
• Witness all site tests
• Support documentation of works, measurements and defects; and
• Carry out all such other duties as directed by the Contract Administrator / Project Architect / Project Civil – Structural Engineer / Resident Engineer.
