Lead Quality Development Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, Java and Python
• Build and execute API automation (REST, GraphQL, WebSockets) using RestAssured, Karate or similar
• Write complex SQL queries for backend/data validation on large-scale systems
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GCP Cloud Build)
• Root cause analysis of field/leaked defects and drive preventive actions
• Mentor junior team members and continuously improve quality processes

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• 4–8 years of hands-on automation experience (SDET/Qual Dev role)
• Strong coding skills in Java and/or Python
• Expert level experience with Selenium WebDriver and Playwright
• Exposure to GCP (Cloud Functions, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, GKE) or any cloud
• Experience with Kafka, Elasticsearch, Redis
• Knowledge of Performance testing (JMeter, Gatling)
• Exposure to BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Behave)
• Solid experience in API testing (Postman, RestAssured, Karate, etc.)
• Strong SQL and database testing experience
• Hands-on with Jenkins/GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Docker and containerized test execution
• Good understanding of Linux/Unix commands and shell scripting
• Prior work experience in IoT, Telecom, or connected devices domain
• Product company background is mandatory
