Financial Controller

We are looking for a proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our finance team at AERONES. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of financial planning, reporting, and control in a fast-scaling, venture-backed technology company. You’ll be instrumental in strengthening our finance function, working closely with an experienced CFO, accounting team, and business leaders.

Our operations span multiple jurisdictions, and we need someone who can thrive in complexity, ensure strong financial discipline, and bring a strategic mindset to support growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes across global operations
• Drive accuracy and timeliness in management reporting, including KPI dashboards and variance analyses
• Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls and policies to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance
• Partner with accounting, operations, and leadership to translate financial insights into business strategies
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity, providing proactive recommendations to leadership
• Support fundraising, audits, and investor reporting with high-quality financial data and analysis
• Identify opportunities for process automation and improvements in reporting, forecasting, and controls
• Ensure compliance with relevant tax, legal, and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in financial controlling, FP&A, or audit, preferably in an international environment
• Strong background in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting
• Solid understanding of IFRS, local GAAP, and regulatory requirements
• Proven ability to establish and maintain financial control frameworks in fast-growing companies
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and structured approach
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including ability to work cross-functionally
• Proficiency in English and Latvian is required
