Expat Specialist - Viking Travel Care - Spain
Job Overview
Viking Travel Care is looking to recruit an experienced Expat Specialist to strengthen our Expat team team. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in travel assistance and insurance, combined with a proactive and structured approach to operations, coordination, and team support.
In this position, you will play a key role in both operational and administrative tasks, while acting as a central point of contact between internal teams, insurance providers, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the main point of contact with insurance companies and external partners
Participate actively in case handling of expat-related cases and support efficient resolution
Handle and respond to customer complaints in a professional and solution-oriented manner
Support onboarding and offboarding processes (welcome letters, insurance cards, documentation, etc.)
Ensure efficient workflow across shifts, including calls, tasks, and case handling
Participate in the implementation of new clients and continuous improvement of daily operations
Support Team Leaders with training and development of the expat team
Take responsibility for administrative coordination within the expat function
Drive knowledge sharing and training within the expat team
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in travel insurance assistance or similar field
Experience working with insurance companies and expat customers
Strong understanding of travel assistance case handling
Experience in training, coaching, or supporting team members
Excellent administrative and organizational skills
Fluent in English (written and spoken); Nordic languages are a strong advantage
Strong IT skills and ability to quickly adapt to new systems

Workplace
This position is based in Torrevieja (Alicante) or Fuengirola (Málaga) - Spain
Working Hours
Primarily day shifts from Monday to Friday; however, as a 24/7/365 operation, flexibility is required.
