Affidea, a multinational healthcare company is looking to hire a Spain Finance and Business Controller to join our team. This role will play a key part in supporting business decision-making by ensuring strong financial management aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.
The Finance and Business Controller will be responsible for maximizing return on assets through the establishment and continuous improvement of financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems, while delivering accurate financial analysis and clear insights into business performance. The role will work closely with local and corporate teams, contributing to financial planning, budget control, and ongoing process improvements in a dynamic, international environment.
BUDGETING, FORECASTING & CLOSING
Actively participates and coordinates all areas involved in the preparation of the annual budget and forecasts, and their revisions
Ensures compliance with the deadlines for monthly and yearly closing, supervises accounting data and justifies the respective differences with respect to projections, previous months and the homologous period and, where required, participates in the implementation of corrective actions
Coordinates and leads the forecast preparation and reports all the variations that may arise
Investigates accounting problems and proposes corrective solutions
INFORMATION MANAGEMENT
Compiles, monitors and analyzes various financial reports.
Analyzes key indicators of business performance, conducting appropriate analysis that lead to concrete action plans (creation and monitoring of corresponding KPI ) .
Implements relevant analysis for continuous improvement of the Group's and financial performance indicators of the country.
Participates in the review of annual and periodic reports and accounts.
Participates in Business Analysis Operations meetings.
Clarifies and analyzes the issues raised by internal customers of the Group, including the whole Group
Accompanies external financial audits and internal audits, ensuring the implementation of corrective measures, whenever applicable.
Communicates financial results and key factors to top management.
Participates in the work of adaptation to standards IFRS
Graphics presentation, flow charts or and charts for a clear and concise presentation of information.
Ensures control of the financial transactions and the quality of these transactions.
Additional job responsibilities as needed.
PROJECTS AND PROCESSES - BUSINESS ANALYST
Actively participates in modelling greenfield investments and the processes of acquisition and mergers ensuring, coordination among the various stakeholders and compliance with the timing of each process, namely through Due Diligence, or also as a support in the coordination of the whole integration process of Affidea Group.
Develops and manages financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures
Establishes processes on cash control, working capital elements, bank payment processes, risk management
Defines business plans for new projects.
Leads continuous revision of processes and develops optimization strategies, both in processes and in cost efficiency, giving special support to Operations and Human Resources in potential deviations in the P&L of the different centers.
Performs requirements analysis.
Manages resources and appropriately allocates them to maintain the profitability of the group and for proper management of the project / s.
Determines operational objectives through studies, gathering information, and evaluating requirements.
Monitors the progress of the project (s) through follow-up, solving problems and deviations that may arise.
Help in the coordination of transformation projects and business development.
