Project & Role Overview
This assignment is for a 150 MW onshore wind farm project with a planned assignment duration of up to 18 months. The project comprises approximately 24 wind turbines, associated hardstands, internal and access roads, electrical collection systems, a switching station, and site office / warehouse facilities.
The Owner’s Engineer (OE) Site Civil Inspector will represent the Owner’s Engineer team on-site and report to the Owner’s Site Manager and OE Project Manager. The role is responsible for monitoring, supervising, and inspecting civil construction works carried out by the EPC contractor, ensuring compliance with project specifications, approved designs, quality standards, and construction methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision & Inspection
Supervise and inspect civil construction works performed by the EPC contractor.
Monitor construction activities including wind turbine foundations, hardstands, access roads, drainage systems, and other civil infrastructure.
Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project standards.
Technical Review
Review method statements and work procedures submitted by the EPC contractor related to civil works.
Review and provide comments on civil engineering shop drawings.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Ensure civil works comply with project specifications, engineering standards, and quality requirements.
Identify and report non-conformities, construction issues, and deviations from approved documents.
Verify proper implementation of quality control and inspection procedures.
Reporting & Coordination
Provide daily site reports to the Owner’s Site Manager regarding progress, observations, and site issues.
Support the preparation of monthly progress reports for the Owner’s Engineer team.
Coordinate with the Owner, OE team, and EPC contractor to resolve site technical issues and ensure smooth project execution.
