The AFS Interest Rates Division has roots dating back 175 years and continues to expand in both its core established markets and new ones. In total AFS Group counts close to 200 employees, with ambitious growth plans best centered on how to best serve our customers in this dynamic, ever-changing, and fast-paced markets. The AFS Interest Rates Division consists of a group of 40+ ambitious and motivated professionals across Money & Capital Markets and Fixed Income, providing best-in-class solutions to serve a variety of public sector, corporate, banking, and institutional clients.

We are looking to hire a talented and ambitious sales trader for the Fixed Income desk focusing on the Central Eastern European market. The Fixed Income desk is active in various types of bonds, from government and SSA to corporates and financials, covering IG and HY space.  The ideal candidate will support client development across the region, help build relationships with institutional end-clients, and contribute to expanding AFS’s footprint in the Emerging Markets fixed-income space. This role is suited for someone with solid market understanding, strong motivation to learn, and the drive to grow within the EM fixed income space. An in-depth knowledge of the region and its institutions/market structure is preferred as well as the knowledge of the local languages - an additional language within the region would be a plus.

In this position, your main focus will be on:

  • Building and maintaining a strong client portfolio, with particular attention to end clients and high-growth markets.

  • Understanding client needs, guiding them through the process, closing deals, and proactively striving for best-in-class customer satisfaction.

  • Actively identifying new business opportunities and cross-selling possibilities across AFS Group departments.

  • Performing market research by analyzing market developments, technological innovations, prospective clients, and industry trends to support strategic decision-making.

  • Strengthening brand visibility and expanding your professional network, including participation in business events, trade fairs, and similar initiatives.
