About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Remote Estimator based in Latin or Central America to join our growing team. This role is critical in helping us secure commercial and residential projects by providing precise, competitive, and timely cost estimates.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in construction trades—specifically Division 7 (Thermal & Moisture Protection)—and is comfortable navigating the nuances of the U.S. construction market and government contracting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cost Estimation: Prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for various construction projects, focusing on waterproofing, roofing, or painting.

  • Project Analysis: Thoroughly review project blueprints, specifications, and scopes of work to identify all necessary labor, materials, and equipment.

  • Collaboration: Act as a key bridge between U.S.-based clients and internal teams to clarify project requirements and ensure bid accuracy.

  • Documentation: Maintain meticulously organized records of all estimation data, vendor quotes, and historical bid performance.

  • Bid Validation: Perform final reviews of all calculations to ensure profitability and compliance with client expectations.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 2 years of proven experience in construction estimation Division 7 in USA market.

  • Industry Expertise: Preferred experience in Division 7 (waterproofing for commercial/residential). Equivalent experience in painting or roofing is highly valued.

  • English Fluency: Excellent verbal and written English skills; must be able to communicate effectively with U.S. stakeholders.

  • Client Management: Proven track record of working successfully with U.S.-based companies and understanding their professional standards.

  • Government Compliance: Experience with government contract work and related compliance/reporting is a significant advantage.

Desired Skills

  • Software Proficiency: Experience with industry-standard estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, Stack, or ProEst).

  • Detail-Oriented: A "measure twice, cut once" mentality with a high degree of accuracy in calculations.

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to spot potential project risks or cost-saving opportunities during the bidding phase.

  • Reliability: Strong self-management skills suited for a fully remote environment.
