Salary: 3,000 – 4,000+ USD/month (based on assessment)

Location: Phillipines, Latin America, Africa

About the Company

Our client is a travel company that has built its own internal software to manage their operations. Their platform powers every part of the business — from sales and dispatching to payments, quotes, and maintenance logs. Now, they are expanding the system to include a customer-facing portal where customers can manage their engagements.

This is a unique opportunity to join a small, dedicated team and work directly with the hiring manager who has built the platform from the ground up. You’ll have a major impact on both the future of their internal tools and the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new features for a customer-facing portal, including quote history, booking functionality, and account management.

  • Maintain and improve the existing internal software used by sales, dispatchers, and accounting.

  • Collaborate with the hiring manager/founding engineer to understand existing architecture and contribute to technical decision-making.

  • Design clean, intuitive UI/UX for the new customer-facing features.

  • Ensure secure and reliable payment integrations (WorldPay).

  • Work across the stack: backend (PHP, databases, integrations) and frontend (HTML, CSS, UI design).

  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer, ideally in small teams or startups.

  • Strong PHP development skills; familiarity with frameworks is a plus.

  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and responsive UI development.

  • A good eye for design and usability, with an interest in creating intuitive customer experiences.

  • Experience integrating with payment systems (WorldPay, Stripe, etc.).

  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills; comfortable maintaining and extending a legacy codebase.

  • Proactive, self-directed, and excited to work in a small, fast-moving environment.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience in travel, booking, or logistics software.

  • Familiarity with database design and query optimization.

  • Previous work in customer portals or self-service platforms.
