Job Title: Inventory Procurement Analyst

Compensation: $3,500-$4,500/month

Type: Full-Time, Remote

About Us

Our company is a leading provider in the foodservice industry, specializing in the nationwide distribution of gourmet and specialty products. We partner with distributors, restaurants, and businesses to deliver high-quality ingredients and culinary solutions.

The Role

We are seeking an accomplished Inventory Procurement Analyst to lead the design, execution, and ongoing refinement of our data-driven inventory and procurement strategy. Leveraging Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains 2018), SQL, and advanced Power BI modeling, you will deliver real-time, actionable insights to maintain a 100% fill rate for owned inventory, while preventing overstock and optimizing warehouse space utilization.

This role blends deep technical acumen with practical supply chain strategy—providing procurement guidance at the SKU level that directly impacts operational performance and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Architecture & Modeling: Design, build, and maintain a centralized Power BI data model and dashboard suite integrating Dynamics GP ERP data through SQL and ETL processes.

• Inventory Monitoring & Forecasting: Deliver insights on current stock levels, inventory changes, and demand forecasts, with DAX-driven metrics like days of coverage, reorder alerts, and fill-rate projections.

• Space Utilization Analysis: Assess warehouse capacity constraints and SKU storage footprint to optimize space allocation and reduce congestion.

• PO Pipeline Visibility: Track and analyze the purchase order pipeline—including lead times, supplier performance, and expected receipts—to identify risks and opportunities.

• Procurement Decision Support: Weekly delivery of recommendations on SKUs to order, hold, or shift to drop-ship—balancing service level objectives with working capital efficiency.

• Continuous Improvement: Identify data gaps, process bottlenecks, and reporting opportunities; propose enhancements to ERP configurations and data collection methods.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with procurement, operations, and finance teams to ensure analytics translate into actionable, aligned decisions.

What We’re Looking For

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Data Science, or related discipline.

    • 3+ years of experience in inventory management, procurement analytics, or supply chain analysis—preferably in food distribution, FMCG, or related sectors.

    • Advanced SQL skills, including building queries, stored procedures, and ETL workflows.

    • Proven experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP 2018 data structures (inventory, purchasing, vendor management modules).

    • Expertise in Power BI (data modeling, DAX, dashboard design, forecasting functions).

    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of presenting complex data to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience with warehouse layout optimization and space-utilization analytics.

• Knowledge of ABC/XYZ inventory classification, demand planning, and supplier performance KPIs.

• Professional certifications (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP, Six Sigma Green Belt).

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a growing company modernizing its technology and operations.

  • Work hands-on in a fast-paced environment where your impact is visible.
