Location: Denver, CO (2-day onsite; Tuesday and Wednesday)

Level: Law School Internship (Academic Credit Required)
Duration: Semester-based (not intended to convert to permanent employment)
Role Overview
The Legal Intern – Contract & Governance Focus will support the Legal team in strengthening contract lifecycle management, clause governance, and corporate documentation systems.
This internship is designed for a 2L or 3L (second or third year) law student seeking academic credit and meaningful exposure to in-house contract and governance operations within a global technology company.
This is a structured educational internship and is not intended to lead to permanent employment.
What you'll do
Contract Lifecycle & Clause Management
- Review and refine contract templates based on closed-deal learnings
- Align and maintain clause library, including fallback positions and negotiation tiers
- Draft and update redline playbooks and escalation ladders
- Track signature authority and approval workflows
- Support the organization of contract repositories and documentation standards
Governance & Corporate Documentation
- Compile and maintain entity records and governance documentation
- Assist with the preparation and organization of board materials
- Support the development of Power of Attorney (PoA) frameworks
- Help maintain the legal risk register and regulatory compliance calendar
Legal Operations Support
- Assist with documentation audits and template consistency reviews
- Support cross-functional coordination with Sales, Product, Finance, and Security teams
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive corporate data
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as a 2L or 3L (second or third year) law student
- Must be eligible to receive academic credit through their law school
- Must have successfully completed a Contracts course
- Strong attention to detail and familiarity with legal terminology
- Demonstrated interest in corporate governance, legal operations, or risk management
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information
Preferred but not required:
- Coursework in Business Associations, Corporate Governance, or Commercial Law
- Exposure to SaaS, technology, or commercial agreements
- Interest in AI, privacy regulation, or global compliance frameworks
Internship Structure
- Semester-based internship aligned with academic calendar
- Requires coordination with the candidate’s law school for credit documentation
- Hybrid work model in Santa Clara
- Educational and experiential in nature
- Not structured as a pathway to permanent employment
