Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Network Configuration Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for remotely configuring, testing, and securing customer-premises equipment (CPE) across a wide range of technologies and platforms. You will collaborate with IT developers to automate provisioning workflows and ensure seamless, secure, and scalable customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Remote Configuration & Deployment
    Configure and validate routers, switches, SD-WAN devices, firewalls, and media converters (Cisco, Juniper, Adtran, VeloCloud, Mushroom, etc.) for customer deployments.
  • Template Management & Automation
    Maintain and enhance configuration templates for various ISP/MSP service types. Collaborate with software developers to automate provisioning and reduce manual effort.
  • Pre-Deployment Testing
    Conduct functional and security testing of customer equipment to ensure readiness prior to shipment.
  • Inventory & System Integration
    Load configuration data and metadata into inventory, provisioning, and order management systems.
  • Troubleshooting & RCA
    Perform root cause analysis on failed or returned equipment and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Security & Compliance
    Apply and maintain security policies to safeguard customer and internal networks from unauthorized access or abuse.
  • Cross-Functional Communication
    Coordinate with technical support, service delivery, NOC, and engineering teams to ensure visibility into configuration changes and deployment status.
  • Process Improvement
    Identify and automate repetitive tasks to focus on complex configurations and enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Fortinet devices, including firewalls and access points
  • Familiarity with FortiOS and basic security policies (VPN, NAT, firewall rules)
  • Fortinet certification (e.g., NSE 4) preferred
