When unexpected events disrupt our operation, our customers rely on calm, clear and compassionate communication. As a Disrupt Communication and Recovery Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of our response, ensuring every customer receives accurate, timely updates and care when it matters most. We have two exciting opportunities available - a 12-month and a six-month fixed-term-contract, both offering a unique chance to make a real impact in the moments that define the Air New Zealand experience.
At Air New Zealand, we connect friends and whānau across Aotearoa and the world. In this role, you’ll collaborate across Airports, Operations, and Customer teams, helping maintain trust and confidence during challenging situations. You’ll be part of a tight-knit team based at our Auckland Airport Campus, working on a rotating 24/7 roster that keeps our communication strong around the clock.
How you’ll make an impact
- Lead customer communication during disruptions such as delays, cancellations, and diversions, ensuring empathy and accuracy
- Coordinate recovery efforts across teams to minimise impact and support customers effectively
- Proactively plan communications for high-risk operational days and major events
- Monitor and summarise disruption activity, providing clear updates to leaders and stakeholders
- Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure a consistent voice across all communication channels
- Identify trends and opportunities to enhance the customer disruption experience.
