A Snapshot
As AirTrunk scales into a pan-Asia platform and evolves toward a lifecycle-led, ops-as-a-service model, the VP, Asset & Capital Management plays a critical role in shaping how we own and optimise our assets end-to-end.
This role, reporting to the Chief Data Centre Officer (CDCO), is accountable for asset performance, lifecycle strategy, and capital investment across our operating data centre portfolio. Sitting at the intersection of design, development, and operations, you will ensure what we build is operable, scalable, and optimised from day one - while embedding data-driven lifecycle management, and disciplined capital allocation.
You will lead a multi-disciplinary function spanning Asset Management, Capital Works, Commissioning & Ops Readiness, Lifecycle Planning, Asset Data, and Commercials, and play a key role in enabling AirTrunk’s next phase of growth.
Your Day to Day
• Define and lead AirTrunk’s operating asset and capital management strategy, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and long-term value across the portfolio

• Establish and govern lifecycle capital planning and investment frameworks from commissioning through to reinvestment, while partnering with Design, Development and Commercial teams to inform upfront capital decisions and optimise long-term asset performance
• Lead commissioning, operational readiness, and asset handover strategy, ensuring assets are delivered defect-free and fully operable from day one
• Drive enterprise-wide improvements in asset performance and reliability, leveraging data, forensic insights, and continuous lifecycle feedback
• Establish and embed asset lifecycle governance frameworks, including maintenance strategy, condition-based monitoring, and long-term asset planning
• Lead the development of asset data, systems, and platforms (CMMS, CDE), enabling scalable and proactive asset management
• Partner with Development and Design to ensure operability, maintainability, and lifecycle outcomes are embedded into all new builds and expansions
• Lead capital works and asset upgrade programs, ensuring quality delivery, minimal defects, and alignment to operational and customer requirements
• Drive vendor and commercial performance across asset-related services, ensuring strong SLA adherence, cost efficiency, and value delivery
• Build and lead a high-performing Asset & Capital function, developing capability, leadership depth, and succession pipelines
• Work closely with the Operations Leadership team to shape and deliver AirTrunk’s operations strategy, ensuring alignment across performance, reliability, value and customer outcomes
Requirements
• 15+ years’ experience in data centres, technology, infrastructure or services-based industry in fast-paced, international environments.
• Significant leadership experience in asset management, complex capital projects, or infrastructure lifecycle roles, ideally within mission-critical environments (e.g. data centres, utilities, infrastructure)
• Proven track record in capital planning, asset lifecycle optimisation, and value creation at scale
• Strong experience in commissioning, operational readiness, and technical assurance
• Deep understanding of asset performance, maintenance strategies, and reliability engineering
• Experience integrating asset and financial management systems

• Track record in delivering strategy into execution, in a fast-scaling, complex environment
• Demonstrated ability to lead and build high-performing, multi-disciplinary teams
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across commercial, finance, design, development, and operations functions
• A data-driven mindset with a focus on proactive, scalable, and standardised operating models
