We’re looking for a Chief of Staff to the COO (related to fundraising topic) — someone who can bridge the gap between vision and execution, ensuring that our ambitious goals translate into tangible results. This role is for those who enjoy working behind the scenes to make things happen, who find satisfaction in solving problems before they arise, and who want to play a pivotal role in shaping a company’s trajectory.
As Chief of Staff to the COO (related to fundraising topic), you will be the catalyst between strategy and execution. You’ll work closely with the COO to align priorities and drive key initiatives related to Alice & Bob’s funding needs.
You will be ensuring that our strategic goals are met with clarity, efficiency, and purpose. This role is ideal for those who thrive in connecting the dots, removing roadblocks, and enabling the team to focus on what matters most.

Responsibilities:
- 1. Fundraising Strategy & Execution
- Drive fundraising initiatives: Partner with the COO to translate funding goals into actionable roadmaps, timelines, and cross-functional projects.
- Prioritize and drive initiatives: Lead funding projects from ideation to execution.
- Align internal stakeholders: Ensure seamless coordination between finance, legal, tech and growth teams to support fundraising efforts.
- 2. Operational Excellence
- Optimize fundraising workflows: Identify inefficiencies in investor relations, due diligence, or internal processes, and implement solutions to accelerate progress.
- Develop systems: Introduce tools, frameworks, and best practices to enhance transparency, collaboration, and efficiency in fundraising operations.
- Anticipate challenges: Proactively address potential roadblocks, whether financial, legal, or operational.
- 3. COO Office: Fundraising Support
- Amplify the COO’s impact: Act as a trusted partner by preparing for meetings, synthesizing complex information, and ensuring follow-through on commitments.
- Provide strategic insights: Deliver data-driven analysis and recommendations to shape strategies and communications.
- Represent the COO: Serve as a proxy in internal and external discussions, ensuring clarity and consistency.
- 4. Cross-Functional Leadership
- Unite teams: Foster collaboration between finance, legal, R&D, and business units to align everyone around priorities.
- Build culture: Help cultivate a collaborative, results-driven environment where teams feel empowered to do their best work. In a word, champion a mindset of accountability and excellence to meet and exceed targets.
- 5. External Stakeholder Engagement
- Investor relations: Support fundraising efforts and coordinating due diligence.
- Expand the ecosystem: Build the tactics to expand our ecosystem and foster collaborations.
Requirements:
- Experience & Skills
- 5+ years in high-growth environments: Experience in scale-ups, venture capital or M&A.
- Operational rigor: Proven track record in strategy, operations, or project management, with a bias for execution.
- Strategic thinker: You can zoom out to see the big picture and zoom in to handle the details—ensuring that both align.
- Deeptech curiosity: Familiarity with R&D cycles, technical constraints, and commercialization challenges in deeptech (e.g., hardware, biotech, quantum…).
- Analytical mindset: Ability to synthesize complex data (financial, technical, market) into actionable insights.
- Stakeholder management: Experience working with executives, investors, and cross-functional teams in fast-moving environments.
- Nice-to-Have: Experience in deeptech, hardware, or industrial sectors; Network in the European deeptech ecosystem
