Senior Business Analyst - Deadline 26/07/26

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support complex IT initiatives within the banking and financial services sector. The successful candidate will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams, contributing to business process optimization, requirements management, system implementation, migration and integration projects, application testing, reporting solutions, and post-implementation support.

The role requires strong analytical skills, in-depth knowledge of banking products and processes, and proven experience delivering IT projects in large financial institutions

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

• Gather, analyze, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders.

• Conduct workshops, interviews, and gap analyses to identify business needs and opportunities for improvement.

• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories.

• Apply business analysis methodologies and UML modelling techniques to document processes, use cases, workflows, and system interactions.

• Ensure traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Business Process Analysis

• Analyze and document current business processes (As-Is).

• Design and propose optimized future-state processes (To-Be).

• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements aligned with business objectives.

• Support change management initiatives related to process transformation.

IT Projects, Migration & Integration

• Participate in large-scale banking IT projects, including system modernization, migration, and integration initiatives.

• Support data migration activities, process alignment, and system transition planning.

• Collaborate with project managers, architects, developers, and business users to ensure successful project delivery.

• Assess impacts of system changes on existing business processes and operations.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Define test scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria.

• Coordinate and execute functional, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Validate solutions within the financial services environment and ensure compliance with business requirements.

• Manage defect tracking and resolution activities.

Reporting & Business Intelligence

• Design and implement Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.

• Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and management reports.

• Analyze business data and provide insights to support decision-making.

• Work with stakeholders to ensure reporting solutions meet operational and strategic needs.

Application Support

• Provide functional support for business applications.

• Investigate and resolve application-related incidents and service requests.

• Perform root-cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.

• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure application stability and continuous improvement.

Documentation & Training

• Create and maintain business analysis documentation, functional specifications, process documentation, and user manuals.

• Develop training materials and support end-user onboarding.

• Ensure documentation remains accurate throughout system and process changes.

Professional Experience

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in IT projects within large banking or financial institutions.

• Demonstrated experience in business process analysis, including As-Is and To-Be process modelling.

• Experience in IT migration or system integration projects.

• Experience in testing financial applications and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Experience providing application support in a production environment.

• Experience implementing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation techniques.

• Proficiency in UML modelling and business process modelling methodologies.

• Good knowledge of SQL for data analysis and validation.

• Experience with:

Banking & Financial Knowledge

• Strong understanding of banking and financial products and services, including:

  • Loans

  • Lending platforms

• Understanding of regulatory and operational requirements within financial institutions.

• Ability to combine business process expertise with data analysis and reporting capabilities.

• Experience supporting business users throughout the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to post-production support.
