ALTEN Mexico is actively seeking an experienced Electronics Requirements Engineer to join our talented team. As a vital part of our engineering division, you will work on the design, development, and validation of cutting-edge electronic systems.
The Electronics Requirements Engineer will play a crucial role in defining, managing, and ensuring compliance with system requirements throughout the product lifecycle. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, software, and testing engineers, to facilitate the successful delivery of electronic components in vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define system requirements, interfaces, and architecture for electronic subsystems and ECUs.
- Integrate hardware, software, and communication networks to ensure correct system behavior.
- Perform simulations, reviews, and analyses to verify performance, robustness, and safety.
- Support design reviews, risk assessments, FMEA, and safety compliance activities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (software, hardware, mechanical, quality, suppliers).
- Prepare system documentation, test reports, and technical specifications.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: 3 years of proven experience in electronics requirements engineering.
- Electronic system architecture design and integration
- Automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet Automotive)
- ECU hardware and software understanding
- Requirements engineering and system specification (e.g., DOORS, Polarion)
- Embedded systems fundamentals (microcontrollers, SoC, sensors, actuators)
- Signal integrity, power distribution, and wiring harness knowledge
- Diagnostic standards (UDS, OBD-II)
- Circuit analysis and schematic interpretation
- Model-based development (MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow)
- Software and firmware update strategies (OTA, flashing tools)
- Test, validation, and debugging tools (CANoe/CANalyzer, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)
- Version control and configuration management (Git, SVN)
- Basic programming/scripting (C/C++, Python, CAPL)
