Altruist is entering an exciting phase, and we're looking for someone to own all things IT related for our Dallas office!
This role is hybrid, with four days per week in our Dallas office.
What you’ll do
- Technical Troubleshooting: Confidence in diagnosing and resolving advanced hardware, software, network, and application issues that require more depth than entry-level support.
- System Administration: Managing user accounts, permissions, and security groups in identity access management and Active Directory.
- Network Maintenance: Monitoring in the office network performance, configuring network hardware, and troubleshooting VPN related issues.
- Onboarding/Offboarding & Infrastructure: Handling device imaging (e.g., Jamf, Intune), setting up new workstations, and managing physical/virtual server resources.
- Documentation & Tickets: Maintaining detailed documentation of issues in Jira Service Management, creating knowledge base articles, and providing detailed RCA for recurring issues.
- Escalation & Collaboration: Serving as a bridge between L1 support and systems administration/engineering teams, handling escalated tickets and collaborating on major incidents.
- In-office Support: Provide end-user support, maintain on-site printers, and support on-site conference A/V equipment.
What you’ll bring
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience.
- Experience with internet security tools and data governance.
- Experience in network management with an understanding of TCP/IP protocols and LAN/WAN configuration.
- Strong knowledge of Google Suite, Office 365, Okta, AWS, Zoom, and Active Directory.
- Experience with device endpoint management: Jamf, VSA, MS Intune.
- Preferred experience with Windows and PC endpoints.
- Experience with API knowledge to integrate IT systems, streamline automation, and enhance support efficiency.
- Confidence in using AI/low-code (OktaWorkflows, N8N, Claude Code, Glean) tooling to automate manual tasks.
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting on-site networking equipment.
- Strong knowledge of Meraki network management is preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of information technology, computer systems, applications, and networking.
- A/V is a bonus to assist with live in-person events and conference room troubleshooting.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and coordination skills.
- Ability to lift 50lbs or more.

Total compensation includes a competitive benefits package, along with equity in the form of Stock Options (ISOs) for eligible roles.
