Description of Task to be Performed:
AnaVation is seeking a DevOps Engineer SME to design, deploy, test, certify, operate, and maintain DevSecOps infrastructure tools supporting a mission-critical enterprise environment. In this role, you will support the primary Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team for multiple enterprise platforms, resolve interoperability issues, perform patching and upgrades, and help ensure the reliability, security, and resiliency of the infrastructure that underpins the broader ecosystem.
The ideal candidate will have experience building in AWS or other cloud environments and be an expert in architecting, deploying, and maintaining Kubernetes clusters, ideally within AWS EKS. This role requires strong proficiency working across both Linux and Windows operating systems, along with hands-on experience integrating and supporting core DevOps tools such as Git, GitLab CI/CD, and Artifactory. Candidates should also be familiar with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and have experience running and maintaining Terraform/Terragrunt, Ansible, and Python-based automation to support consistent, scalable, and secure deployments. This position is on-site in Chantilly with no remote option.
Key Responsibilities
· Architect, design, deploy, test, certify, and operate complex DevSecOps infrastructure tools within Top Secret enclaves
· Troubleshoot and resolve interoperability issues across operating systems, support libraries, components, and application dependencies.
· Deploy and configure services using infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) providers.
· Configure and manage Linux-based servers to support dynamic web applications.
· Debug and support cluster-based computing architecture.
· Install, configure, and maintain open-source monitoring and observability tools.
· Partner with development and security teams to ensure CI/CD pipelines align with DevSecOps best practices.
· Use scripting and programming (e.g., Bash, Python) to automate deployments and improve system reliability.
· Participate in Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities.
· Support a multi-enclave environment (Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret).
· This position requires an active Top Secret (TS) clearance and the ability to obtain SCI access with a CI polygraph. This position is on-site with our customer in Chantilly, VA.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in DevOps or related field with at least 4 years working in Top Secret environments
- Experience with SAFe Agile framework.
- Strong understanding of forensic and investigative system requirements.
- Demonstrated experience implementing DevSecOps practices in secure government environments.
- Experience with data processing, automation, and ETL workflow orchestration.
- Hands-on experience implementing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency with GitLab or similar version control and DevOps platforms.
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) for secure, classified environments
- Nutanix AHV, Prism, Flow, and Calm for hyperconverged infrastructure management
- Enterprise containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) in Top Secret enclaves
- Search and indexing tool clusters (ElasticSearch, Opensearch) configuration for classified data
- Repository Managers (JFrog Artifactory, Sonatype Nexus) with security hardening for classified environments
- Database servers (MySQL, Postgres, MSSQL) in Top Secret environments
- Cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud, SC2S, C2S) with focus on security controls for classified workloads
- Advanced virtualization (VMware vSphere, VxRail, Nutanix AHV) for secure environments
- Advanced security and networking (SSH, SSL/TLS, Key Vaults, PKI) implementation for Top Secret environments
- Server side technologies (Apache Tomcat, NGINX, IIS) with security hardening
- DevSecOps principles and best practices for classified development environments
- Linux (Rocky, RedHat, Amazon, Ubuntu) and Windows operating systems with security hardening for classified use
- Nutanix Flow micro segmentation
- Nutanix Files and Objects for secure data storage in Top Secret enclaves
- Data processing, automation and ETL workflow orchestration within classified environments
- CI/CD pipeline implementation and optimization with security controls for classified code
- GitLab or similar version control systems configured for Top Secret environments
- Network architecture and advanced security in Top Secret/SCI classified environments
- Cross-domain solutions for secure data transfer between classification levels
- Hybrid cloud and on-premises integration with focus on security boundaries
- SAFe Agile methodologies in classified development environments
- Security accreditation processes for TS/SCI systems (RMF, NIST 800-53)
- Implementing defensive cybersecurity measures within classified networks
