Assistant Engineer Services

This role is responsible for providing technical support to the Section Engineer Services and Civil Engineer, with a 1-year planning horizon. The role ensures effective and safe operation of civils and infrastructure maintenance.

• Safe achievement of maintenance tasks to support production performance.
• Carrying legal appointments in operational area of responsibility:  
• Ensure safe completion of tasks to required level
• Ensure all construction and new infrastructure installations is to standard
• Provide technical advice to the foremen and civils clerk of works
• The safe and optimal maintenance and operation of machinery, equipment and infrastructure to required standards.
• Sub-ordinate support to the Section Engineer Services and Civil Engineer
• Ensuring that the water delivery and infrastructure remain fully operational to support all production work
• Ensuring the constant delivery of clean, potable water to the mine and clean effluent after treatment.
• Monitoring and surveillance of Lucilia Poort Dam, Pollution Control Dam.
• Seepage Measurement Data collection and Structural Critical Control Inspections
• Assist in managing maintenance and operations of Camps, Impali Housing Estate and off-site properties.
• Ensure proper and adequate on the job training and coaching is provided to subordinates
• Ensure compliance of the discipline with external (legislative, regulatory, permitting) requirements
• Support delivery of the relevant sustainability initiatives and activities
