HT Technician

As an HT Technician you will provide services as required and your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Take part in safety audits, inspections, and observations, and demonstrate safety leadership by addressing issues.
- Ensure installations, commissioning of infrastructure and post-installation work testing for functionality are executed following specifications within the agreed schedule and budgetary limits.
- Continuously monitor maintenance progress and related preparation activities against planned schedules to meet operational targets, minimise downtime, enable timely reporting and enhance plant efficiency.
- Provide proactive assistance or respond to requests from maintenance personnel.
- Identify components that cause excessive downtime and implement permanent solutions.
- Test equipment/machinery for functionality and safety before returning it to production.
- Facilitate failure analysis investigations to find the root cause of problems and develop solutions.
- Train maintenance personnel on system maintenance when a new system is installed.
- Design, install, and commission new hydraulic systems or modifications.
- Establish, maintain, and manage healthy relationships with stakeholders to ensure compliance with technical standards.
- Utilise knowledge and expertise to provide valuable insights into projects and operations to improve overall business performance.
- Meet country-specific legal requirements and hold relevant certifications to perform tasks and responsibilities effectively.
- Apply electrical engineering principles to deliver efficient technical solutions and ensure adherence to operational technical standards.
- Translate technical knowledge and information into practical inputs for projects and operations to enhance overall business performance.
- Maintain relevant certifications and qualifications to meet country-specific legal requirements while applying mechanical engineering principles to deliver effective technical solutions to operations.
- Contribute to the development of the Department budget.
- Identify any opportunities for improved cost management, and either address these or raise them with your supervisor, as appropriate.
- Compare the work completed with the contract requirements and specifications towards the end of the project.
- Consolidate the budget at the end of the project and inform the Financial Department of any underspending.
This role is in the Engineering & Maintenance Plant (E&M) discipline at a Band 7 level (C5 Grade) reporting to the Discipline Electrical Engineer
