You are a strategic, forward-thinking Big Data Solutions Architect who is passionate about crafting scalable and efficient data architectures that manage large volumes of data. You thrive on guiding the implementation of robust, cloud-based data platforms and ensuring they align perfectly with the company's strategic goals.

You bring to Applaudo the following competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience is desirable
• 4+ years of experience designing and deploying big data solutions in a cloud environment, specifically utilizing GCP and Dataflow.
• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms, especially related to big data services such as GCP BigQuery.
• Expertise in cloud-based big data services.
• Proven track record in optimizing big data solutions for performance and cost.
• Hands-on experience with distributed data systems and knowledge of distributed computing principles.
• Proficient in big data query languages.
• Familiarity with data integration techniques and tools and data governance and quality principles.
• Experience creating and designing reports in PowerBI.
• Advanced English is a must

You will be accountable for the following responsibilities:

• Lead the design and deployment of cloud-based big data solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Ensure data architectures align with business needs and can handle future scalability.
• Provide guidance on the selection and usage of big data tools and platforms.
• Drive continuous improvements in data storage, processing, and optimization techniques.
• Collaborate with data integration teams to guarantee seamless data flow.
• Contribute to the company's overall data strategy and roadmap.
• Mentor and train junior engineers and data professionals.
• Advocate for data best practices, promoting data governance and quality.
• Evaluate and introduce new big data technologies and frameworks.
• Work closely with IT Security to ensure all data solutions are compliant with security protocols.
• Collaborate with SRE (Site Reliability Engineers) to ensure the stability, reliability, and scalability of the big data platform
