You Bring to Applaudo the Following Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development.
• 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership or solution design role.
• Strong background in software architecture, design patterns, and secure system design.
• Proven experience designing solutions based on microservices and distributed architectures.
• Solid experience designing and implementing cloud-based solutions, particularly on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong analytical skills to assess technical risks and define preventive mitigation strategies.
• Ability to design and communicate solution architectures through clear technical documentation and diagrams.
• Experience defining non-functional requirements such as scalability, resilience, durability, and disaster recovery.
• Experience evaluating and justifying technical decisions, budgets, and alternative scenarios.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation.
• Ability to share knowledge, foster collaboration, and drive innovation within engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of current technology trends and their business impact.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.

You Will Be Accountable for the Following Responsibilities:

• Participate actively in discovery sessions, proposing concrete and scalable technical solutions aligned with client needs.
• Translate discovery discussions into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
• Assess the client’s current technological landscape and propose modernization strategies aligned with business goals.
• Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate technological risks across solutions and implementations.
• Design and document end-to-end solution architectures, including scalability, resilience, security, and disaster recovery considerations.
• Produce and maintain clear technical documentation and solution diagrams for internal and client use.
• Justify architectural decisions and budgets with solid technical and business rationale.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment and shared understanding.
• Drive innovation initiatives aligned with business objectives and emerging technology trends.
• Ensure effective knowledge distribution across project teams.
• Ensure solutions comply with regulatory requirements and align with client objectives.
