About You
You are an Application Architect specializing in marketing technology and digital analytics platforms. You enjoy designing scalable, privacy-compliant architectures that enable reliable data collection, attribution, and measurement across complex digital ecosystems. You take ownership of architectural decisions, think in systems, and balance technical rigor with business impact.
You are comfortable operating across marketing, analytics, and engineering teams, translating complex technical concepts into clear guidance, and defining standards that improve data quality, performance, and long-term maintainability.
You Bring to Applaudo the Following Competencies:
- 5+ years of experience in application architecture, marketing technology, or analytics engineering roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong working knowledge of React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to implement and debug complex tracking solutions.
- Advanced proficiency with Google Tag Manager, including custom JavaScript variables and structured data layer implementations.
- Strong experience implementing and governing Google Analytics 4, including event modeling and advanced tracking strategies.
- Hands-on experience with Facebook Business Manager, Facebook Pixel, and Conversions API.
- Solid understanding of Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing integrations.
- Proven experience designing client-side and server-side tracking architectures.
- Strong understanding of privacy regulations, Consent Mode, and browser restrictions (ITP) and their impact on data collection.
- Experience using browser developer tools and tag debugging extensions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
You Will Be Accountable for the Following Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement a modular, scalable application architecture for marketing data collection and digital analytics.
- Own and optimize advanced Google Tag Manager configurations, including tags, triggers, variables, and structured data layers.
- Govern tracking implementations across Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, and Facebook Pixel, including Conversions API integrations.
- Design tracking solutions resilient to browser privacy restrictions and compliant with global privacy regulations.
- Lead the transition from fragmented client-side tracking to robust server-side and API-driven architectures when appropriate.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex, production-level tracking and performance issues affecting data accuracy or site stability.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy, attribution integrity, and alignment with business and marketing objectives.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, analytics, and engineering teams to document requirements and implement new tracking solutions.
- Optimize tracking implementations to protect and improve Core Web Vitals and overall site performance.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and architecture standards related to tracking, performance, and system reliability.
