About you

You are a Functional QA Analyst with strong experience ensuring the quality, usability, and reliability of software applications through functional testing.

You bring a detail-oriented and analytical mindset, capable of validating business requirements, executing test cases, and identifying defects. You collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to continuous improvement within QA processes, ensuring software meets user expectations and organizational standards.

You bring to Applaudo the following competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on functional QA.
  • Experience executing manual test cases across functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing.
  • Familiarity with automation concepts and ability to execute automated test scripts.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies.
  • Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, DevOps).
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail, Zephyr).
  • Familiarity with SQL for data validation and basic queries.
  • Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
  • Understanding of cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
  • Familiarity with version control and collaboration tools (e.g., Git, Confluence).
  • Awareness of CI/CD pipelines and QA integration.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • English proficiency (B2 or higher).

You will be accountable for the following responsibilities:

  • Analyze business and technical requirements to design detailed test cases.
  • Execute manual tests across functional, regression, integration, and UAT scenarios.
  • Execute automated test scripts and analyze results.
  • Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and product owners to clarify requirements.
  • Provide feedback on quality risks throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Prepare and maintain test documentation, including test plans, cases, and defect reports.
  • Generate test reports and metrics to track quality and coverage.
  • Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects.
  • Support exploratory testing to identify usability and workflow issues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices.
