Senior Full Stack Developer (Typescript + Python)
Full-time Mid-Senior LevelJob Overview
Full Stack Developer
About You
You are a Senior Full Stack Developer who thrives inside real, messy, production systems, not greenfield prototypes. You have a track record of shipping features across the full stack, React/TypeScript on the frontend, Python/FastAPI or Node.js on the backend, and you know how to make dense, data-heavy interfaces feel fast and usable at real-world scale.
You're energized by working inside an existing architecture: reading the code that's already there, understanding why it was built that way, and making sound feature-level decisions without needing to redesign it from scratch. You use AI coding assistants daily, not as a shortcut but as a force multiplier, and you know how to validate what they generate. Above all, you care about outcomes: secure, well-built features that hold up in a multi-tenant SaaS environment and stand up to scrutiny from senior stakeholders.
Note: This is a 6-month temporary opportunity with the possibility of extension.
You Bring to Applaudo the Following Competencies:
- 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a demonstrated record of shipping production features independently.
- Strong, hands-on production experience with React and TypeScript, including MUI, styled-components, or an equivalent design-system component library.
- Proven experience building data-heavy enterprise UIs: admin and configuration screens, multi-level filtering, and large interactive tables via ag-Grid or equivalent, at real data volumes.
- Significant experience with either Python/FastAPI or Node.js, with working proficiency in the other.
- Solid SQL and hands-on PostgreSQL experience, including query optimization and relational data modeling.
- Experience implementing OAuth 2.0/Okta, JWT, and role-based access control in an API context.
- Demonstrated multi-tenant SaaS security practice: tenant isolation and data access controls.
- Effective daily use of AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Codex), with sound judgment validating generated output, and the ability to integrate LLM-backed features into a web application.
- Comfortable reading and working inside an existing application architecture without redesigning it.
- Strong autonomy: able to make and justify feature-level decisions without close oversight.
- Confidence defending technical choices verbally, in English, to senior stakeholders.
- Comfortable with async, written-first communication across a distributed team spanning Europe, India, and the Americas.
Nice to have:
- Snowflake experience, or data modeling/pipeline experience in a warehouse context.
- Mapbox GL or equivalent web geospatial visualization.
- amCharts or D3 for production data visualization.
- Nx or comparable monorepo tooling.
- Azure Web PubSub, Redis Cache, or Blob Storage.
- Prior exposure to architecture-level decision forums.
You Will Be Accountable for the Following Responsibilities:
- Author features across the commercial intelligence platform, spanning React/TypeScript UI, dense admin and configuration screens, and high-volume tabular interfaces (ag-Grid).
- Contribute to APIs in Python/FastAPI and Node.js, and write/optimize SQL against PostgreSQL.
- Design the granular functions and code structures inside each assigned story.
- Comply with the existing application architecture, and raise clearly where it needs to evolve.
- Absorb intermittent adjacent work — data pipeline and query changes, chart and map surfaces, AI-enabled feature integration — inside the existing architecture and against defined criteria.
- Implement secure functionality within a multi-tenant SaaS environment.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies, code review, and technical discussion with senior stakeholders.
- Take ownership of authored code against documented acceptance criteria (architecture and product-level ownership sit with the attached architect and engagement lead).
