If you were the Health and Safety Business Partner now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Managing health and safety initiatives including training, material resourcing and organization, and the injury reporting process.
  • Supporting all people leaders and employees with health and safety questions concerns arising from the manufacturing and warehouse floor.
  • Consulting with and educating the Joint Health and Safety Committee with health and safety action items, processes, and initiatives and support the evolution of the capability and positive impact of the committee
  • Performing ergonomic and job hazard assessments for risk analysis, programs/project support and safety concern mitigation
  • Assisting incident investigation, complex WorkSafe BC cases or equivalent, and non-work related cases, and delivering KPI’s.
  • Working collaboratively with other Teams to develop and deliver H&S programs, projects and initiatives

Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:

  • Participating in other projects and programs to stand up the health and safety strategy throughout the company
  • Supporting the work to enable Arc’teryx to obtain appropriate certifications
  • Expanding the impact of the H&S strategy and to all areas of the organization globally, including Retail, Supply Chain, and office spaces
  • Supporting the development of health and safety training requirements

Are you our next Health and Safety Business Partner?

  • You have 5 years of Health and Safety field experience, preferably in retail or distribution
  • You are well-versed in local, provincial, national and international Health and Safety regulations, including but not limited to Work Safe BC, OSHA, ASHARE, ISO and WELL building standard
  • You have experience liaising with applicable Health and Safety and Environmental regulatory authorities
  • You possess strong relationship management skills
  • You have experience in supporting and executing health and safety strategies
  • You have excellent influencing, and communication skills, with the ability to obtain buy-in from multiple stakeholders
  • You are an excellent problem solver with keen investigation and analytical skills and are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues to develop the right solutions
  • You are a hands-on collaborator with a can-do attitude who will not hesitate to roll up your sleeves and bring others into action

Assets:

    You have other certifications in the Health and Safety field (eg: CIH, ROHT, CHSC, CRSP, CRST)

Compensation:

    The salary range for this role is CAD$94,000–CAD$124,000.

This range reflects market alignment and the scope of the role. Individual pay is determined by your skills, experience, and level of responsibility.
