Our Cook plays a vital role in the wellbeing of our residents by providing high-quality, safe, and appetising meals that meet our resident’s individual nutrition needs.  

Duties are varied, active, and stimulating with lots of personal interaction. You will ensure the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen service, maintain compliance with our Food Control Plan, and collaborate with others in the kitchen team to deliver a first-class and nutritious experience for our residents.

Our cook must be versitile, be able to multitask and is calm under pressure. Our cook runs the cafe across our lunch service, cooking to order a variety or menu items, including All Day Breakfasts, Eggs Benedict, Fish n Chips and Burgers. Our cook must be able to bake, as daily we create muffins, scones and cakes for our residents. On Friday evening we serve a dine in dinner at 6pm for up to 120 resdients, so our cook must be able to step up to cook Roasts, Lamb Shanks, Salmon and many other dishes. Our Cook must have attention to detail with plating and our food must be tasty and cooked to perfection.

On Saturday our Cook is in sole charge of the kitchen, working alongside one kitchen assistant, with cafe food on offer from 10am to 2pm.

This is a part-time position: Tuesday to Saturday, 26hrs per week. Hours of work will be discussed at interview.
