Job Overview
- Reads and executes recipes for hot and cold food preparation. Buffet style and Batch cooks items ensuring optimal food quality, i.e., Proteins (Meats, Fish, etc) vegetables, starches etc.
- Follows “counts” designated on production sheets, as written.
- Informs Chef when a recipe or food production sheet needs to be modified and informs Chef of potential shortages.
- Works with Dining attendants, in regard to, menu offerings and/or menu changes and specials.
- Practices standards of food sanitation, infection control, and quality assurance. HAACP
- Team player with Quality and Resident satisfaction as top priority.
- Completes HAACP related food safety paperwork and logs, as well as, post-production results.
- Other duties as assigned.
