About the Role

We're looking for a Business/Data Analyst to join our Finance team and play a critical role in driving data-driven decision-making across financial operations. You'll work at the intersection of finance, data, and technology to deliver insights that shape business strategy and optimize financial performance.

What You'll Do

• Analyse complex financial data sets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement

• Design, develop, and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and metrics using SQL and business intelligence tools

• Partner with Finance Operations, Accounting, and FP&A teams to support month-end close, forecasting, and planning processes

• Build and optimise data pipelines to automate financial reporting and reduce manual workflows

• Perform deep-dive analyses on key financial metrics including revenue, costs, margins, and cash flow

• Support financial modelling, Treasury business and scenario analysis to inform strategic business decisions

• Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and data accuracy across finance functions

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and Operations to ensure data integrity

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 2-3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role, preferably in Finance or Finance Operations

• Self-starter & high-agency mindset with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and in-depth execution

• This role requires someone who thinks and executes with AI as a core part of their toolkit.

• Strong proficiency in SQL with demonstrated ability to write complex queries, optimise performance, and work with large datasets

• Solid understanding of financial concepts including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and financial reporting

• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills with ability to present data insights to diverse audiences

Nice to Have:

• Experience working at a FinTech company or in the financial services industry

• Background in Finance Operations, including reconciliation, payments, or billing processes

• Familiarity with Python

• Knowledge of accounting systems and financial data sources

• Experience with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts

• Understanding of payment systems, transaction processing, or financial infrastructure
