We are seeking a motivated Operation Superintendent to oversee daily field and terminal operations, ensuring safe, efficient production and export of crude oil.

Key activities

  • Report directly to the Onshore Installation Manager (OIM).
  • Co-ordinate one of our Fields & Terminal operations with strong emphasis on maximising daily production safely with due regard to the environment,
  • Oversee crude oil processing and ensure exports meet sales specifications.
  • Optimize process and equipment availability while operating within technical integrity limits.
  • Lead tanker loading operations, maintaining close coordination with tanker personnel and DGH inspectors to ensure safe and timely execution.
  • Serve as the primary lead for emergency response across the Terminal and Fields.
  • Primarily accountable for all camp and installation life-support systems, including potable water and power generation for camp and clinic.
  • Plan and deliver HSE training based on identified needs; investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and submit formal reports.
  • Ensure asset integrity through planned equipment shutdowns and maintenance activities.
  • Define and execute trials on facilities, communicate results and recommend remedial options as required.
  • Monitor and manage the section budget, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop team members, including conducting annual performance reviews.
  • Provide accurate daily reporting of production figures and HSE statistics.
  • Act as deputy for the Onshore Installation Manager when required.

Requirements

  • Technical graduate with 5–10 years of experience in production operations.
  • Strong understanding of Emergency Response Organisation protocols, hazard identification, and risk assessment.
  • Solid HSE and Environmental Management System (EMS) knowledge.
  • Hands-on experience with Velocity Cards and proficiency in Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) preparation and interpretation.
  • Planning and programming experience is desirable; awareness of well and subsurface operations is a plus.
  • In-depth mastery of the Permit to Work system.
  • Proven leadership skills, strong analytical abilities, and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Fluent in both French and English, with strong written and reporting capabilities.
