We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Petroleum Engineer to join our integrated asset development team. This role of Petroleum Engineer is to assist the Senior PE to devise method to improve oil & gas well production and determine the need for new modified tools design.
The Petroleum Engineer participates to multi-disciplinary studies including field development planning, reservoir performance analysis, redevelopment opportunities identification, forecasting and implementation.
Key activities
- Actively participate to the discipline teamwork (peer reviews, knowledge sharing, challenge sessions etc.) under the responsibility of the Principal Petroleum Engineer and coached by the Senior Petroleum Engineer.
- In collaboration with REs, prepare test program, organize and follow its execution, interpret the data and verify the consistency reservoir modelling.
- In collaboration with G&G, RE and Operations define a yearly campaign for static and dynamic well measurements, write the program, organize and follow its execution, interpret the data.
- In collaboration with G&G and RE senior staff, define cased hole logging (RST, PLT, …), write the program, organize and follow its execution, interpret the data.
- Deploy classical petroleum engineering techniques such as Material Balance , Nodal Analysis, Decline Curve Analysis as appropriate to support the dynamic models and/or to generate quick production forecasts.
- Evaluate the water injection performance and make recommendations (increase or decrease the injection).
- Participate actively to well by well and projects reviews under the supervision of the asset lead and/or the principal PE.
- In collaboration with G&G and RE, identify candidates for Interventions and WO (Stimulation, Sand Control, Reperforation, WSO, ESP/PCP, GL, Frac, WI, Recompletion, Clean-out, Fishing, Integrity, …) to populate and mature the subsidiary portfolio. Participate to write the corresponding proposals.
- Participate to the definition of production and injection strategy.
- Perform OFM data interpretation and give recommendations.
- Compile and synthetize fields and wells data to generate and mature candidates for Interventions and WO that will populate the subsidiary portfolio
Requirements
- Master’s degree Engineering (BAC+5) or equivalent in Petroleum engineering
- A minimum of 3-5years’ experience in a PE position.
- Prior experience in West Africa and pre-salt reservoirs would be seen as an advantage.
- A track record of adding value to mature reservoirs by identifying and optimizing opportunities to locate and produce the remaining oil.
