We are looking for an Operator to join our collaborative operations team in Gabon. As Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring production operations remain compliant with HSSE and maintenance standards. Your collaboration with the team will ensure that production targets are maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Start and stop equipment when required after carrying out the required pre-start & stop checks
• Minimize the number of stations, gas compression or individual equipment trips by controlling the production process and acting on process parameters and alarms
• Keep accurate logs of the equipment parameters in the zone (as per log sheet) and the information in the zone logbooks
• Report any anomalies that occur in the zone to the control room operator, chief operator and/or section supervisor
• Carry out first line maintenance within the working zones and ensuring that routine sampling and lube/seal oil reservoirs for equipment are in order
• Ensure installation, preventive maintenance et repairs of chemical injection pumps
• Provide technical input on sludge remediation and other waste handling technics
• Provide technical input in all water treatment aspects of produced water, injection water and effluent water projects
• Advise site operations on HSSE aspects of hazardous treatment chemicals and adhering to Assala's chemical management policies

Requirements

• End of High school or a HNC (BTS) degree or equivalent.
• A minimum 3-5 years in operational experience with hydrocarbon processing & operations or within the oil and gas industry
• Strong understanding in operating and maintaining wells & facilities                                                                     
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Fluency in French is essential
