As an Electrical Work Preparator, you will play a key role in ensuring the effective planning and execution of electrical maintenance activities. You will be responsible for preparing comprehensive work packages, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting operational continuity and safety.
Key activities
- Prepare work packs for all major maintenance activities by identifying and providing resources, materials, service requirements and all critical documents and procedures for the work. Then confirm feasibility and the appropriate execution window, taking into account all operational constraints.
- Clearly define the scope of work for each task, ensuring alignment with operational goals and constraints.
- Assist in the planning and preparation of complex shutdown operations.
- Collaborate with teams across Mechanical, Instrumentation, Automation, Inspection, Logistics, and other disciplines to ensure seamless planning and execution.
- Draft and update all necessary job documentation, such as task sheets, control sheets, tool lists, and procedural guides.
- Ensure work packages are optimized for safety, efficiency, and timely execution to minimize equipment downtime and maximize production.
- Provide on-call support for troubleshooting and operational emergencies, including supervision system monitoring.

Requirements
- Minimum3 yearsof experience in electrical maintenance planning or preparation.
- Technical education or equivalent hands-on experience in electrical systems and industrial equipment.
- Solid understanding of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in the maintenance of oil and gas exploration and production systems.
- In-depth knowledge of failure modes affecting large industrial equipment such as fans, pumps, compressors, and their associated components.
- Familiarity with safety hazards and the appropriate precautions relevant to electrical maintenance activities in oil and gas environments.
- Proficient in applying technical knowledge to diagnose equipment issues, including the use of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques to identify and implement effective solutions.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical information from drawings, manuals, reports, catalogues, and historical files.
- Skilled in drafting and updating detailed work documentation including task sheets, control sheets, and tool lists.
- Knowledge of maintenance strategies, including risk-based and reliability-centered approaches to determine the necessity and timing of maintenance tasks.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) and MM (Materials Management) modules for planning and resource coordination.
