Your main areas of responsibility will include:
- Supervise maintenance teams and act as a replacement for Mechanical Supervisors and Maintenance Superintendents when they are absent.
- Assist in the establishment of Rotating Equipment Maintenance and Reliability Strategies.
- Investigate and troubleshoot equipment issues, ensuring that maintenance is carried out according to vendor specifications.
- Maintain a long-term vision for equipment performance and reliability.
- Provide on-site mentoring to trainees and transfer skills to them.
- Share experiences, lessons learned, and best practices with maintenance/operation teams.
- Offer technical leadership in analyzing day-to-day operational issues and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with manufacturers and technical experts to improve reliability issues that affect plant operations.
- Prepare, organize, and execute major maintenance activities.
- Review procedures for critical rotating equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Work with engineering to integrate best practices for reliability and maintainability into new designs.
- Participate in projects for new or refurbished installations and HAZOP/HAZID studies as required.
- Ensure compliance with Assala Energy’s HSSE Management Standards in all production operations.
- Promote proactive HSSE behaviors and process safety management.
- Promote ESG awareness and lead initiatives to meet company objectives regarding environmental impact.
- Conduct exploratory studies to estimate budgets and provide technical solutions for threats related to rotary mechanics.
- Take on projects and responsibilities for managing change (MOC).
- Identify opportunities and synergies for optimizing operational costs.
Requirements
- Hold an Engineering diploma or equivalent.
- Have a postgraduate degree and specialized experience in the Oil & Gas industry or equivalent.
- Bring at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Oil and Gas operations and/or maintenance.
- Demonstrate a proven track record in the technical management of operations and/or maintenance.
- Experience in working with computer hardware and software is desirable, especially in SAP, PI OSISOFT / PLC & ICSS.
- Possess specific professional knowledge in industrial combustion gas turbines, power generators, centrifugal & reciprocating compressors, and centrifugal and reciprocating pumps.
- Have an open-minded approach, exceptional team spirit, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to confidently present proposals and provide innovative solutions.
- Fluent in both English and French, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
