Assala is on the lookout for a highly talented and experienced Petroleum Engineer. The role is to participate in multi-disciplinary studies including field development planning, reservoir performance analysis, redevelopment opportunities identification, forecasting and implementation
This Technical Authority includes all Petroleum Engineering matters such as Nodal analysis (and activation), Transient analysis (PBU, FOT), production forecasts, Well-by-well reviews, resulting in WO, stimulations, rigless or surface recommendations.
Key activities
- Control the quality of all the work produced by all Petroleum Engineers before external publication or execution.
- Implement reporting standards and procedures to achieve pragmatic & fit for purpose PE work (WOP, Stimulations Jobs, Measurement analysis, etc…).
- With the Data Management dept., ensure all dynamic well data, reports, models and presentations are well organised in severs and file servers are cleaned and up to date.
- In collaboration with REs, prepare test program, organize and follow its execution, interpret the data and verify the consistency reservoir modelling.
- In collaboration with G&G, RE and Operations define a yearly campaign for static and dynamic well measurements, write the program, organize and follow its execution, interpret the data.Define cased hole logging (RST, PLT, …), write the program, organize and follow its execution, interpret the data.
- Deploy classical petroleum engineering techniques such as Material Balance (IPR curves), Nodal Analysis (VLP curves), Decline Curve Analysis (DCA) as appropriate to support the dynamic models and/or to generate quick production forecasts.
- In collaboration with G&G and RE, identify candidates for Interventions and WO (Stimulation, Sand Control, Reperforation, WSO, ESP/PCP, GL, Frac, WI, Recompletion, Clean-out, Fishing, Integrity, …) to populate and mature the subsidiary portfolio. Participate to write the corresponding proposals.
- Define a production and injection strategy.
- Perform daily production data analysis and give recommendations for optimal production and reservoir management.
- Compile and synthetize fields and wells data to generate and mature candidates for Interventions and WO that will populate the subsidiary portfolio.
