We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Reservoir Engineer to join our integrated asset development team. This role supports the Senior Reservoir Engineer in designing and executing well test programs, conducting reservoir analyses, and delivering production allocation and volume balance reports to management.

Role Overview

The Reservoir Engineer will be embedded within one of our multidisciplinary asset teams, reporting to the team leader while also contributing across other assets as needed. The role involves active participation in field development planning, reservoir performance evaluation, identification of redevelopment opportunities, forecasting, and implementation of strategic initiatives.

Key activities

Perform fundamental RE tasks: fields & wells reviews, production & injection analysis, well test design & interpretation , data analysis .

  • Actively participate to the discipline teamwork (peer reviews, knowledge sharing, challenge sessions etc.) under the responsibility of the Principal Reservoir Engineer and coached by the Senior Reservoir Engineers.
  • Build, populate, history-match and run fit-for-purpose dynamic reservoir simulation 3D-models: full reservoir model, sector model, conceptual model etc. depending on each specific case and need.
  • Deploy classical reservoir engineering techniques such as Material Balance , Nodal Analysis , Decline Curve Analysis (DCA) as appropriate to support the dynamic models and/or to generate quick production forecasts.
  • Propose development & redevelopment plans (new wells, side-tracks, workovers, additional perforations, water injection etc.), activation/stimulation strategies (artificial lift options, chemical jobs) fitted with robust production forecasts derived from various scenarios and sensitivity analysis.
  • Actively contribute to well-by-well and project reviews under the supervision of the asset lead and/or Principal Reservoir Engineer.
  • Support the expansion of the asset portfolio by identifying opportunities to increase reserves and drafting corresponding proposals.
  • Assist in defining production and injection strategies aligned with asset development goals.
  • Compile and synthesize field and well data to identify and mature candidates for interventions and workovers that enhance the subsidiary’s portfolio.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree Engineering (BAC+5) or equivalent in Reservoir engineering
  • A minimum of 3-5years’ experience in a RE position.
  • Prior experience in West Africa and pre-salt reservoirs would be seen as an advantage.
  • A track record of adding value to mature reservoirs by identifying and optimizing opportunities to locate and produce the remaining oil.
