We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Well Performance Lead to drive production optimization across all assets. You’ll lead a team of engineers, act as a technical authority, and bridge subsurface, operations, and project teams to ensure well performance is continuously improved.
As we continue to optimise production across our mature assets, we are seeking a strategic and hands-on Well Performance Lead to drive technical excellence and team leadership in well performance. This role is pivotal in aligning field operations with subsurface goals, enhancing artificial lift strategies, and delivering sustainable production improvements.
You will lead a team of engineers, act as a technical authority, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure well performance is continuously improved.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead & Mentor: Supervise and support Well Performance Engineers. Provide technical leadership and ensure alignment of optimisation strategies with company and subsurface objectives.
- Optimise Production: Conduct advanced well performance studies, manage gas lift allocation, identify surface bottlenecks, and oversee rigless intervention planning.
- Drive Artificial Lift Strategy: Standardise gas lift design and control procedures. Coordinate equipment status and ensure effective field implementation.
- Coordinate Projects: Evaluate and lead well interventions. Collaborate on completion design and manage procurement for specialised services.
- Champion Data & Safety: Ensure structured data collection and analysis. Provide technical input on well integrity and HSSE matters.
Requirements
- Degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of oil and gas experience, including 4 years in well performance or petroleum engineering.
- Proficient in well modelling and optimisation tools (Prosper, GAP, PI ProcessBook, DesignRite, Excel).
- Strong background in reservoir dynamics, artificial lift systems, and completion design.
- Analytical and results-oriented, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Capable of synthesising complex data into clear, actionable insights.
