We are looking for a Construction Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Gabon. In this role, you will oversee daily construction activities (civil work, piping, structure), ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to our quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise civil works activities.
- Supervise installation of both rigid and flexible piping, structures, including static and rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, skids, tanks, etc.).
- Ensure adherence to the agreed-upon work plan and report daily on progress to the Project Construction Superintendent.
- Compile progress reports and necessary details.
- Ensure compliance with all construction documents and specifications.
- Coordinate daily site activities across disciplines.
- Review and rectify any issues arising between contractors.
- Inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and ensure specifications are met.
- Resolve any issues or delays in construction, acting as the first point of contact for onsite challenges.
- Ensure all equipment and materials are available on site as needed.
- Participate and coordinate in pre-commissioning activities related to piping.
Requirements
- Over 5 years of experience in construction projects within oil and gas environments or similar roles.
- Minimum of an HNC (Higher National Certificate) or equivalent in a construction engineering discipline
- Ability to read and interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, and support/structural plans.
- In-depth knowledge of piping systems, construction methods, and safety regulations.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Effective communication and reporting abilities.
