Position Summary

The Senior Product Manager at Assent is a leader and end to end owner of product success, accountable for identifying high-impact opportunities, making sound investment decisions, and ensuring meaningful value is realized for both customers and the business.

You will lead the end to end strategy for Assent’s high growth B2B SaaS emerging data network platform, managing a suite of emerging product capabilities. This role requires a balanced strong commercial judgment, deep customer insights, cross-functional leadership and the ability to synthesize insights from data and the market into clear execution plans. .

Key Requirements & Responsibilities 

Strategic Ownership & Market Opportunity

  • Drive Product Strategy: Own the end-to-end product vision and strategy for your portfolio, ensuring alignment with Assent’s broader business objectives and long-term growth targets.

  • Opportunity Identification: Identify, size, and prioritize high-impact opportunities by synthesizing customer insights, competitive intelligence, product analytics, and win/loss data.

  • Data-Driven Business Cases: Clearly articulate the "Why" and “What” behind every initiative that defines the customer problem, unique differentiation, business value (ROI), and measurable success metrics (KPIs).. Develop concise product requirements documentation (PRDs) that also include user workflows and data constriants. 

  •  Market Intelligence: Serve as the resident expert on market trends and competitive dynamics. Conduct continuous "Voice of the Customer" (VOC) research through advisory boards, interviews, and market analysis to identify unaddressed needs.

Execution & Portfolio Alignment

  • Roadmap Leadership: Translate strategy into a high-integrity roadmap. Define key features, capabilities, and timelines that balance short-term wins with long-term platform scalability. Work effectively with Product Owners to ensure user flows, logic/rules, data constraints and success metrics are robust for writing stories. 

  • Lifecycle Management: Lead cross-functional teams through the full product lifecycle—from initial discovery and business case development to MVP, beta trials, and full-scale GTM launches and ongoing enhancements. This includes migration strategies from legacy to new platforms. 

  • Ecosystem Collaboration: Partner closely with fellow Product Leaders to manage dependencies, sequence releases, and ensure a cohesive user experience across the entire Assent portfolio.

  • Product Evangelism: Act as the primary internal and external champion for your product line. Influence stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, and Engineering to ensure the solution effectively meets both user needs and commercial goals.

Data-Centric & AI-Enabled Innovation

  • Master the Data Ecosystem: Develop a deep, technical understanding of Assent’s complex data environment including supply chain intelligence, regulatory content, and customer-generated signals to unlock new product value.

  • Drive Intelligent Automation: Identify and champion opportunities where advanced analytics, automation, and AI/ML can meaningfully improve customer scalability, efficiency, and decision-making.

  • Build Trustworthy Solutions: Partner with Engineering, Data Science, and Design to architect "intelligent" features that balance technical rigor with transparency and world-class usability.

  • Navigate Complexity: Thrive in ambiguity; lead the delivery of resilient product capabilities despite evolving global regulations and imperfect data sets.

Product Craft & Execution Excellence

  • Lead Discovery & Design: Orchestrate the discovery process with Design and Engineering to ensure every solution is not only technically feasible but also highly desirable and commercially viable.

  • Synthesize Complexity: Distill intricate market requirements into clear, authoritative documentation that serves as the "source of truth" for cross-functional execution.

  • High-Integrity Delivery: Partner with Product Owners to translate high-level strategy into well-structured epics and stories. Actively guide delivery through continuous scope refinement and decisive trade-offs.

  • Validate & Iterate: Oversee Pilot and Early Access phases, using rigorous data analysis and direct customer feedback to evaluate success and inform the path to General Availability (GA).

Cross-Functional Influence & Advocacy

  • GTM Partnership: Collaborate with Product Marketing and Sales to define value-based pricing, sharp positioning, and high-impact launch strategies that drive rapid market adoption.

  • Expert Communication: Clearly articulate roadmaps, trade-offs, and outcomes to both technical internal teams and high-profile external stakeholders.

  • Product Championship: Serve as the primary advocate for your product line, balancing vision with a data-driven response to stakeholder feedback.

Operational Health: Support critical customer escalations with a sense of urgency, ensuring immediate resolutions align with the long-term health and architecture of the product.
